Jazz, zouk ou salsa, vous n'avez qu'à demander ! D'un répertoire à un autre, d'une chanteuse de jazz à une formation afro-cubaine, Mario Canonge se met perpétuellement au service de différentes familles musicales, souvent cousines, toujours généreuses. Il fonde de nombreux groupes comme Ultramarine avec le guitariste Nguyen Lê, le groupe de zouk Sakiyo au côté de Michel Alibo l'ex bassiste de Sixun, le groupe Kann avec Bago, et les frères Fanfant. Collabore avec la chanteuse française Nicole Croisille, l'Américaine Dee Dee Bridgewater, et bien sûr d'innombrables musiciens Antillais (Henri Guédon, Ralph Thamar, Tanya St Val, Jean-Michel Cabrimol, Kassav, Dédé St Prix, Marie-Josée Alie, Tatiana Miath, …), Roy Hardgrove, Orchestre Aragon,... la liste est longue de ceux qui font appel au pianiste. More than just a highly gifted musician, Mario Canonge is a musician whose distinctiveness takes his swirling capacity of adaptation from one style to another. Jazz, zouk or salsa, you have only to ask! From one repertoire to another, from working with jazz singers to teaching students the Afro-Cuban style, Mario Canonge constantly puts into service various musical families generous.
